I’m Alex, a passionate photographer. I picked up a camera at a young age, always thinking about composition and what makes a picture work for me.

Having traveled to all kinds of places, I gradually grew more interested in street photography, since that’s the mood I most like to share with others. Being able to speak English, German, Russian and Japanese has opened a lot of doors while traveling: getting to know and understand the locals is the best part.

Lately I’ve been taking more and more portraits, because people are genuinely fascinating subjects.

私はアレックスです。写真を撮ることが大好きで、子どもの頃から写真を始めました。いつも構図や、「自分ならどんな写真が好きか」を考えながら撮っています。

いろいろな場所を訪れるうちに、だんだんストリートフォトに興味を持つようになりました。というのも、その雰囲気こそが自分が人に伝えたいものだからです。英語、ドイツ語、ロシア語、日本語を話せるおかげで、旅先ではたくさんの出会いに恵まれました。現地の人たちと知り合い、その土地や文化を理解することが、旅の一番の楽しみです。

最近はポートレート撮影にも力を入れています。人そのものがとても面白く、魅力的な被写体だと思うからです。
